This piece has multiple meanings for me.
I grew up in my father’s architectural office, and later worked with him there. This was the pre-CAD era where everything was drawn by hand. We uses aluminum push pins to pin up our drawings and sketches for presentation and critique.
It is also a tribute to Pop artist Claes Olednberg Claes Olderberg - who I was first exposed to with a poster for one of his shows gifted by my father.
Oldenberg, known for making giant sculptures based on everyday objects clearly has no influence on my work.
